Are your parents divorced? Do you remember the moment you realized their divorce was real?
Not necessarily when they told you they were getting divorced, but when it truly hit home — when you thought, “Life is different now, and it’s always going to be different.” Tell us the story of that moment: What happened, where were you, and how did you feel?
How to Submit
By sharing your story, you are agreeing to be governed by The New York Times’s reader submission terms and agreeing that we may use and allow others to use your name, voice and message.
There are two ways you can share your story:
1) Leave us a voice mail message at (212) 589-8962.
2) Record yourself on your phone and send the file to modernlovepodcast@nytimes.com.
Start by introducing yourself and telling us where you live. Then tell us about when you realized your parents were divorced. Leave us your phone number at the end in case we want to call you back.
We look forward to hearing from you.
