The English midfielder grabbed his side’s second after slotting the ball home from a narrow angle before Cody Gakpo added a third.

Liverpool now looks destined to qualify for the semi-finals of the competition after Curtis Jones grabbed their second against West Ham at Anfield with Gakpo adding a third.

Their Hungarian midfielder broke the deadlock in the first half with an incredible strike with Jones now doubling that lead.

The English made a smart run into the penalty area, as he came face to face with the West Ham goalkeeper at a narrow- angle as he calmly slotted it into the net.

Gakpo then popped up with a terrific shot from outside the box .
