Ukrainian freestyle wrestler Iryna Koliadenko lost to Japanese Sakura Motoki in the women’s wrestling final of the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

Details: Iryna led the way, earning a point for her opponent’s inactivity, but at the end of the first period, she missed a rapid attack that gave Motoki 4 points.

After the break, the Ukrainian desperately tried to change the match’s course, but Motoki grabbed her leg and performed several successful rolls in a row. The final score of the match was 1:12 in Motoki’s favour.

On her way to the final, the 25-year-old Iryna Koliadenko defeated three world champions of different years.
