It may have taken 11 matches, but Sheffield United booked their first victory in the Premier League this season as they beat Wolverhampton Wanderers at Bramall Lane on Saturday. Cameron Archer broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute with a powerful shot from outside the box, and a lucky deflection helped Jean-Ricner Bellegarde equalize in the 89th. But in the fifth minute of stoppage time, Oliver Norwood converted from the spot after Fabio Silva was judged to have committed a foul on George Baldock inside the Wolves box.
The Blades still sit at the bottom of the table and it’ll be a long fight for them to try and survive, but it will have given them heart and at least some belief that it can be done.
