As soon as the weather changes, the outbreak of cold, cough, fever and phlegm increases.

The scorching summer heat is finally gone, and the weather has changed. Monsoon has arrived. With the change in weather, the outbreak of infectious diseases has also increased. Microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, and fungi have started attacking people in various places. Since all these microorganisms enter the mouth first, the problems related to breathing increase. As soon as the weather changes, the outbreak of cold, cough, fever and phlegm increases. There is no need to go to the doctor immediately, even if it remains in the body for three to four days. If you use some special methods taught by Sadhguru, then you will not have to face these problems.

According to Sadhguru, if you want to avoid cold and cough, then you should first of all stop consuming dairy products. One can follow an amazing home remedy where one needs to lightly break 10–12 black peppers. Do not make it into powder, but crush it. After this, dip it in honey and leave it overnight for 10 to 12 hours. Then chew it in the morning. Sadhguru says that this can solve the problem of mucus. He also shared some regular pranayama that helps to get relief from mucus. Sadhguru also explained the fourth method for this. He said that if one is suffering from asthma, sinusitis, or mucus getting stuck in the throat, then one should consume turmeric with round pepper. One can eat turmeric by mixing it with other things. The combination of turmeric-camphor and turmeric-neem is also good.

Pulmonologist Dr Renu Soni said in an interview that when colds and coughs increase, mucus also increases in the respiratory tract. This mucus is phlegm. It contains the mucus membrane, dirt, water, and cells. If it is present in a small quantity, then it is beneficial. Microorganisms get trapped in it and die; but when there is an infection, it increases and starts getting trapped in the respiratory tract. This causes difficulty in breathing.

According to Dr Renu, consumption of dairy products increases the production of mucus, due to which throat problems can increase. Round pepper contains a piperine compound that thins the mucus. Round pepper can also reduce colds and coughs. So, the method described by Sadhguru is also medically proven. Along with this, yoga, or pranayama prevents respiratory diseases; this has also been proven in many studies.
