Details: It is noted that 7 people were killed and 47 injured as a result of the Russian attack, including 3 children aged 10, 7, and a less than a year old baby. Rescue workers also extinguished 22 fires.

Background:
- On 26 August Russia launched 236 aerial weapons on Ukraine. Ukraine’s air defence downed 102 missiles and 99 attack drones.
- A woman was killed in Zhytomyr Oblast, and seven people, including two children, were wounded in Odesa Oblast as a result of the large-scale Russian attack. In total, the latest reports mention that five people have been killed by the invaders. The other fatalities were one each in the city of Lutsk, and in Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv oblasts.
- Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that 15 oblasts of Ukraine suffered in the Russian attack on 26 August.
