Crystal Palace are looking for more signings after spending heavily to strengthen their squad this summer.
The Eagles lost their star player Michael Olise in the summer transfer window and the money they earned from his move has been reinvested in the squad.
Their prominent signings include Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal and Trevoh Chlaobah from Chelsea.
Oliver Glasner’s team are now interested in signing another Chelsea player to add strength to their defense.
According to The Sun, the south Londoners are keen on a move for Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell.
The English defender has been told by Blues boss Enzo Maresca that he is not a part of his plans at the club.
Chilwell looked certain for a move away from Stamford Bridge in the summer but lack of interest in his services came as a huge surprise.
The Eagles have now added him to their transfer wish list as Glasner looks for options for the left side of his defense.
The report has mentioned that Ipswich Town are also in the race to sign the former Leicester City left-back.
Chilwell has not played any football this season and he is unlikely to get playing time at Stamford Bridge.
A January move away from the club is something that his career needs at this stage. His progress has stopped at Chelsea and under Maresca it is not going to change.
