Josh Kroenke has hinted at an exciting summer transfer window for the Gunners as they look to build upon an already record-breaking season.
After coming so close to Premier League glory last campaign, many fans questioned the Gunner’s ability to challenge for the title again as Manchester City improved over the summer.
But Mikel Arteta’s side not only maintained their push at the top of the league but improved on it as they are now on track to match City’s winning tally from last season, five points better off than their own.
Unfortunately for the North London club, it may not be enough as they must rely on the treble winners dropping points at the Etihad Stadium in their final game of the season.
Although it will be a disappointing end to a gruelling season, Arsenal fans will be optimistic about their future regardless.
Josh Kroenke delivers Arsenal message
Speaking ahead of the game, co-chairman Kroenke reaffirmed his belief in the team and hinted at the club’s lofty ambitions.
‘However things finish today, we’re all working behind the scenes to move us forward – always forward – again.’ He said via the Metro.
‘There is so much that we want to achieve, both at home and in Europe, and we are focused on writing some exciting new stories and chapters that build on the history of Arsenal Football Club.’
