Brentford shocked the Etihad by taking a very early lead against Premier League champions Manchester City on Saturday, but Erling Haaland getting on the scoresheet has become inevitable. He netted twice to take his team to their fourth straight victory, and to pull away from the competition at the top of the table.
The second goal was extremely well taken, with the help of a brilliant long ball from goalkeeper Ederson Moraes, as well as some questionable defending from Brentford’s Ethan Pinnock.
The Norwegian striker now has nine goals in four matches in the English top flight. Sensation is not the word any more.
