Cole Palmer has been playing very well since his move from Manchester City to Chelsea this summer, and his form was punctuated by a terrific performance in a thrilling draw against his former club on Sunday.

Palmer’s exploits have obviously recommended him to England boss Gareth Southgate, who has included the 21-year-old attacking midfielder in his squad for the final two rounds of the Euro qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia on Friday and Monday, respectively.
